what is art ??

I don't think we could find a worldwide definition now-a-day of art. Because art depend of the culture. An art is a cration of an human. This creation have to make us different where we becamme a spectator. It can be visual, sensitive or oral. But if we think that an creation isn't an art because we think it ugly withou any goal that not means that isn't art for another person. To really understand an art we need to know what do the artist and how he creat it, we could need to know the culture of the artist. It's why a definition of art is really difficult.      For example this two painting. The first is from Van gogh the other is from an unknown. For me the two are ugly. But it's my vision. However Van gogh is acknowledged as an artist. The second isn't acknowledged in the world. Van gogh is an artist because he is the first who create a new dimmension in the painting.

My definition of art would be this:  art is subjective. An art is a creation that we can see, touch or hear. This creation has to give us feeling. This creation isn't something that we use in our life, he just here to make us better. An art cross ages if it is in advance of is time.

Craft: Origami Fortune Teller

In france all kids know this origami. It is a really simple and funny origami. Did you reconize it?
I will explain you how to build it. You just need to have: a construction paper, scissors and a pen.
  • Start by making a square piece of paper. To start making the square, fold one corner of a piece of paper over to the adjacent side.
  • To finish making the square, cut off the small rectangle, forming a square.
  • Fold the two opposite ends of the triangle together, forming a smaller triangle.
  • Open the paper up.
  • Fold a corner into the central point. Repeat with the opposite corner. Repeat with the other 2 corners. You'll end up with a square.
  • Flip the paper over.
Fold a corner over to the center. Repeat with the opposite corner.
Fold over the 2 remaining corners. You'll end up with a smaller square
  • Fold the square in half. Unfold and fold in half the other way.
  • Unfold and pull the four ends together, making a diamond-like shape. Pick up each of the four square flaps, and put your fingers inside. You will be able to move the four parts around.
  • Write any four colors on the four flaps.
Flip it over, and write 8 numbers on the triangular flaps.
  • Write 8 fortunes inside the flaps. For example: You will get an "A" on a test.

You can now be a fortune teller. Have a person choose one of the four colors. Spell that color out, while moving the fortune teller in and out. Then have the person choose one of the numbers that is showing. Move the fortune teller in and out the right number of times. When you finish, have the person choose one of the four visible numbers. Open up the flap they choose, and read their fortune.

have fun !!
